Here is a pilot we shot for a client. This was a lot of fun because it was a very creative process with both the preparation and the actual shoot day. We worked with our client from early on from conception, testing, pre-visualization etc. This is extremely important in preparing for every shoot. Virtual production is heavily front loaded. Working with puppets is always a great experience because the puppeteers are extremely good at their craft and are typically very creative individuals which makes this kind of project both challenging and rewarding. We used many practical (real) assets during this shoot which is always value added to the production.

Working on a game show is a particularly interesting because photorealism is often the goal. Typically we will choose a set that captures the feel that the client is looking for. This virtual set can come from the client side, be created on our end from scratch or from an existing set from our library. This set came from our library and was modified based following a series of meetings that we had with our client. It reflected the look and feel that the client expressed early on. It also needed to be a set that offered multiple backgrounds for the panelists, guest and talent (hallway) walk onto set. Another important note to building a realistic set is using dramatic lighting and the use of parallax in a scene. We work closely with our client to create a scene that demonstrates good depth and modeling with creative camera movement.
High Quality Assets
High Quality Assets | Virtual Sets High quality assets such as virtual bread in the scene is just a small example of the level of quality that can be exhibited in a scene. These assets can be built by local designers, purchased in a marketplace or used from our virtual library. These assets can be brought into a scene and removed instantly. They can also be animated into a scene and have such high quality that zooming into to them is possible. Typically, they are created using 4k textures which is photo realistic. High Quality Sets
Corporate Sets We have a library of sets to choose from for our clients. Here is an example of a set that works well for many of our corporate clients. It’s a very flexible set and any element of this set can be changed out. Colors, textures and lighting can be altered and corporate logos can be added to this or any of our sets. We can also add virtual monitors as needed which can display graphics, logos, videos or a live video stream. In addition, we have a large assortment of furniture that can be added to our scenes and multiple elements of various sets can be added into one.
