WebMD
WebMD is a company widely known for its’ expertise in the medical field. Millions of people rely on the medical advice they offer on a daily basis through multiple channels. We recently had the pleasure to work with them on a project which addressed and answered the many questions regarding COVID. Early on we worked with our client on preparing the virtual set for the proper colors, lighting, graphics and set positions. Our client requested using a practical desk for the client so we worked with them on this. It was important for us to get the desk in a day before so we could see it in the virtual set, properly light it, check the composite and set up our 3 camera positions. Early preparation for the above plus many other project details lends itself to success on the day of the production. Marvel Comics
Working on this pilot was both challenging and fun since Marvel is a very well known brand and recognized internationally. One key to success with this and all our projects is early preparation. It’s really important to meet with the client to understand his/her vision for the project and to put together a timeline leading up to the day of production. This particular project required us to follow certain guidelines as well as adhere to any client changes. For example, we needed to match specific set guidelines as it related to the lighting, color scheme and set design. There was also a requirement to use a custom designed virtual desk in the scene. This virtual desk offered a few challenges since the actor needed to interact and lean on the desk. For example, we needed to see both talent reflections as well as reflections from the virtual set. As seen in the video, these requirements were solved and the virtual desk ended up looking great with the set and the actors’ interaction.
Teleportation
Teleportation offers our clients an excellent opportunity to bring outside (remote) guests into any interview. This exciting technology is composited real time and has huge cost advantages and could bring in a guest that may not otherwise be available.
